Location. Set against a lush Alpine backdrop, the Schloss Verden is located on the edge of Lake Woerth, in Carinithia, Austria. Villach is 19 kilometres away and Wolfsburg is at an 83 kilometre distance.
Hotel Features. The Schloss Velden is a landmark hotel housed in a spectacular 17th century castle and spreading to newer contemporary design buildings. From Klagenfurt Airport (KLU):
Distance to the Schloss Verden is 30.5 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The hotel can arrange transfers from the airport (surcharge). Alternatively taxis are available.
Getting around. A car is advisable for exploring the surrounding countryside.
Driving directions. From the airport take the Sud Autobahn A2 in the direction of Villach, Italien and Slowenien for approximately nine kilometres.
Follow the signs for Villach Portschach Ost and continue on the A2 for approximately 13 kilometres.
Leave the A2 at the exit for Velden Ost.
Take the B83 or Klagengurterstrasse in the direction of Velden and follow for 1.5 kilometres
Leave the B83 at Karawankenplatz and take the second exit in the direction of Lake Woerth.
