The Hotel Il Canale is a small charming residence set in the historic heart of Bologna, situated opposite the Aposa watercourse and 10 metres from the Arena del Sole Theatre. The guestrooms are pleasantly furnished, with peach, cream and pink fabrics, and antique furniture. As well as having private bathrooms, they also benefit from air conditioning, satellite TVs, direct dial telephones, minibars, Internet connections and room safes.
A buffet breakfast is served in the traditional stone clad dining room, hung with tapestries and interesting art. There is a pleasant lounge/bar on site, too. Those keen to explore local will find themselves within 500 metres of several of the Bologna's museums. The closest airport is Bologna G. Marconi Airport; approximate driving time is 15 minutes and distance is 12 kilometers. The airport is linked to Bologna railway station and the city centre by the Aerobus service, which departs from the airport every 15 minutes. Taxi services are available outside arrivals at both terminals.

From Bologna Airport,take the Via dell' Aeroporto for 1.8 kilometers, then turn right on to Via del Triumvirato, followed by another right on the Tangenziale. Continue for 6 kilometers and turn right onto Via Stalingrado. At Bologna, continue and turn right onto Viale Angelo Masini; after 300 meters turn left onto Via Capo di Lucca, followed by a right turn onto Via del Pallone. After 250 meters, turn right onto Via Irnerio, and left onto Via dell' Indipendenza.
