Hotel Features. La Valencia Hotel's lobby draws admiration for its collection of beautifully crafted antiques, vibrant 1920s Spanish tile work and splendid hand painted ceiling. With reverence for the past, an original elevator has been maintained and is operated by an attendant who escorts guests to their requested floor. A tropically landscaped patio houses an outdoor splash pool and tiled spa tub that overlook glorious views of the Pacific. Modern influences include a 24 hour business center with computers and complimentary high speed Internet access, and a 24 hour fitness center that offers a range of equipment, sauna and extensive spa services. Patrons of the Sky Room come from near and far to indulge in this intimate 10th floor restaurant's contemporary French cuisine. The historic Whaling Bar and Grill heralds the past with marine inspired murals and whaling artifacts while the Mediterranean Room offers festive ambience and serves California fare with Spanish flair. The Poolside Bar's deck is open during summer months, and food and drink service available year round via phone in a poolside cabana.
Guestrooms. La Valenica Hotel offers 115 individualized guestrooms in an 11 story building. All accommodations feature marble bathrooms with signature toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. Additional room amenities include minibars, in room safes, VCRs or DVD players.
Expert Tip. La Valencia Hotel is located one block from La Jolla Cove which is part of an underwater park that encompasses 6,000 acres of tidal and submerged terrain.
