Location. Rising eight stories above the white sands of the Atlantic Ocean is The Sea Turtle, located in the Jacksonville enclave of Atlantic Beach, Fla. The hotel is two blocks from Neptune Beach and within a four block radius are the numerous boutiques, restaurants and bars of the Town Center shopping district. The renowned golf courses of Ponte Vedra are seven miles from The Sea Turtle and downtown Jacksonville is 18 miles away.
Hotel Features. At Plantain's Restaurant, a fusion of Caribbean and Floridian fare is served. Menu items include Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Plantain Mash and Pan Seared Crab Cakes with Key Lime Mustard Mayonnaise. Business friendly amenities include a conference center and ballroom, computer with printing capabilities and complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the property. For recreation, an oceanfront pool with accompanying Cabana Bar and veranda are available, as well as discount passes to a fitness center three blocks away.
Guestrooms. The Sea Turtle's 193 airy and bright guestrooms are furnished with Mediterranean inspired d�cor, rich toned wooden furniture, ecru walls and light fabrics. Select rooms feature ocean views, while all accommodations offer refrigerators, complimentary wireless Internet access and cable television with premium movie channels.
Expert Tip. Located five miles from the property, the Mayport Ferry offers water trips around Mayport, one of the nation's oldest fishing villages, for a fee.
