Overlooking the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers, the Lafayette Hotel stands in Marietta, Ohio, less than seven miles from Mid Ohio Valley Regional Airport. Opened in 1918, this triangular shaped hotel is one of the last remaining Riverboat Era hotels. Visitors can receive a gratis tour of the Fenton Art Glass Museum, two miles from the hotel, and see the history and art behind glassmaking. Less than one half mile from the Lafayette Hotel, guests may tour historic mansions, churches and unique structures in Marietta by trolley. If water tours are preferred, the Valley Gem Sternwheeler offers tours from May to October and dinner cruises on select nights, just one mile from the hotel.
The Lafayette Hotel preserves its history with antique reproduction furnishings and classic d�cor, yet provides modern amenities for today's travelers.
